OUR STORY ABOUT US Silkbush Mountain Vineyards was established in 2000 and lies in the Breedekloof area on the Western slopes of the Waaihoek mountains; approximately 36km fromWorcester. The farm previously produced white grapes, fruit trees and grain, but was redeveloped and planted to 87ha of mostly noble red wine grape varieties. Exten- sive renovations and improvements were made toirrigation dams, worker housing and infra- structure over the last two decades. The company was founded by its two executive directors; Anton Roos B.Sc.(Agric) and Dave Jefferson (MBA). Dave has been in the Califor- nian wine business for the past forty years, where he developed and manages over 300 ha of wine grapes. He first visited South Africa in 1994; met Anton in 1997 and subsequently, Silkbush Mountain Vineyards was born. Anton currently is the acting Managing Director while his sons Francois and Johann recently joined the company to help expand and grow Anton and Dave’s dream. Francois, a BSc (Agric) graduate is the Viticulturist
